Small Primary School Federations Conferences 2009

The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) is hosting a series of events which offer an opportunity to learn more about the benefits of both hard and soft federations, to learn how federations fit with the Department’s Children’s Plan and to hear about new policy developments relating to collaboration.  The events, which are workshop based, will also feature plenary sessions led by officials from the DCSF and the National College of School Leadership (NCSL).

The events are primarily for headteachers and governors of small, rural primary schools but may also be of interest to other primary schools working in a federation and to Local Authority leads that have responsibility for primary schools and/or for encouraging school collaborations.

The events, which are free, have been held in:  Bristol, Newcastle and London with the last event to be held in Birmingham on the 23rd June.
